Tasks such as welding, laser processing, soldering, and grinding generate fine ‘fume (dust)’ that is difficult to see. The VH-1000 is an industrial dust collector designed to capture such fume right at its source, preventing harmful dust from spreading indoors. The 360-degree rotating suction arm collects dust according to the working position, and the multi-stage cartridge filter reliably filters down to fine particles.

What is Hume?

Hume refers to extremely fine particulate smoke produced when metals and other materials melt or evaporate at high temperatures.
They are much smaller than typical dust particles (often less than 1 micron), and to the eye, they only look like smoke. Because the particles are fine, they drift long in the air and easily penetrate deep into the lungs during breathing.

Why are countermeasures necessary?

The fumes contain metal oxides and other substances, and prolonged inhalation may affect the health of workers.

In recent years, occupational health management for welding fumes and similar materials has been strengthened, requiring companies to implement appropriate removal and ventilation measures.

Features and Usage Examples

Because the VH-1000 uses a “local exhaust” type that draws in directly from the source, it can remove fume more efficiently than ventilating the entire factory. The multi-stage filter efficiently captures particles as small as 0.3μm, and its compact enclosure allows installation without restriction.

It can be utilized in a wide range of processing sites, from processes that produce high-concentration fumes such as welding, cutting, and polishing, to electronic substrate soldering, laser welding, cutting, and engraving. It is especially suitable for smoke and dust control in fields such as automobile manufacturing, industrial machinery, and electronic components.
