[CRY8024] Pocket-sized Air Leak Detector

A pocket-sized air leak detector that can be brought directly to the site has finally arrived. It balances a size far smaller than previous models and the cost of introduction, allowing operation like a smartphone, allowing immediate on-site deployment even without specialized knowledge Compared to visual inspection using soapy water or manual ultrasonic probes, leak locations are identified non-contact and at high speed.

Overview

OVERVIEW

What is an acoustic camera?

An acoustic camera is a camera that analyzes sound and frequency to visualize air leaks and other issues. While acoustic cameras have existed before, this “CRY8024” has emerged as a model that is both “high performance” and “low installation cost, simple operation, and pocket size,” making it easy to handle.

We often get asked, “Can we use it in a factory where the equipment is running fast and even in noisy environments?” This model has no issues. Although it is identified by sound, it is a device that identifies frequencies and visualizes air leaks. In particular, air leakage is said to emit frequencies of 45~65kHz, so it can be used without issues even at sites with loud equipment noise.

The Impact of Air Leaks

It is said that about 20% of air leaks occur at each factory, accounting for roughly 3% of the country’s total annual electricity (equivalent to the electricity used by 6 million households).

Compressed air in factories leaks 20–30% without you even noticing, and air leaks not only waste electricity bills but also lead to decreased productivity and increased CO₂ emissions—invisible cost losses.

Up to now, the main challenges in air leak prevention are:

  • I don’t know where the leak is.
  • High installation costs for detectors
  • Creating reports is time-consuming

These points may have been raised, but among those interested in acoustic cameras (air leak detectors), many may have hesitated to adopt them due to the high installation cost and complex operation.

The pocket-sized air leak detector CRY8024 solves this problem.
Despite having 64 microphones, it achieves maximum effectiveness by effectively visualizing air leaks at a low installation cost, allowing it to be seamlessly adopted at sites that had previously been postponed.

You can inspect operating equipment directly and visualize leaks in real time from a distance of up to about 20 meters. Even without specialized knowledge, it can start up immediately, and reports are automatically generated in about five minutes.

Since you can also take photos and save them, you can seamlessly cycle ‘discover→record→ repair,’ and make your daily conservation activities smoother.
