  A picture to understand the print quality inspection system

  The LVS-7510 inspection system is used for product label verification in medical device manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, consumer packaging, and specialty chemical manufacturing.

  With the LVS-7510, ensure the accuracy and data integrity of each label with print speeds of up to 254 mm per second:

  Thermal Printer Visualization Technology: 100% label inspection, including 1D/2D barcode verification, OCR, serialization and defect detection.

  • Barcode Verification (1D/2D Code Grading): Check any combination of 1D/2D codes and grade them using internationally recognized standards. The software displays a real-time graph indicating the overall ISO rating, allowing the operator to see print quality trends for hundreds of previously inspected labels. When an error is detected, the graph changes color. There are also other error warning indicators, including printer stops, signal alarms for lights and sounds, and more.
  • Barcode Verification (1D/2D Code Reading): Check the codes to determine if they are “readable”. No attempt is made to score based on any criteria.
  • Master Label Comparison (Defect Detection): Identify print faults such as pattern or character deformation, skew, stains or defacements, ghosting or deviation from the intended position, die-cutting, and missing information. This feature includes a variable data feature that identifies expected variables within a pattern matching area, but does not report the data as a defect. Also included is a variable sensitivity setting for each label field examined.
  • Optical Character Recognition (OCR): “Reads” characters and reports the content of the data.
  • Optical Character Verification (OCV): Ensures that a string of consecutive characters is read and/or validated against a known field or database.
  • Numeric validation: Verify the expected order of any sequence of numbers, detect duplicates and sequence errors, and match variable numbers to external data files.
  • Data and code matching: Validates encoded data that contains readable information and ensures consistency across multiple data within the same label.
  • Printer Integration: The LVS-7510 is integrated into the Zebra xi4, Zebra ZT600 series and Printronix T8000 series printers. Contact Omron Microscan to learn most about other printer models
