Vision technology for thermal printers

• Barcode Verification (1D & 2D Barcode Grading) – Inspect any combination of 1D and 2D barcodes and grade them according to internationally recognized standards. The software displays a real-time image of the overall ISO rating, allowing the operator to see print quality trends for hundreds of previously inspected labels. As soon as an error is detected, the color of the image changes. Error warnings can also be indicated by stopping the printer running, light clusters, alarms, and so on.
• Barcode Confirmation (1D & 2D Barcode Reading) – Verify the barcode to determine if it is readable. Barcodes are not graded according to any standards.
• Master vs. Label Comparison (Stain Detection) – Identify printing errors such as skew, smudges, registration errors, cropping errors, and missing information. The variable data feature identifies expected variables within the pattern matching region without reporting the data as a smudge. Variable sensitivity settings facilitate inspection of each label area.
• Optical Character Recognition (OCR) – “reads” characters and reports the content of the data.
• Optical Character Verification (OCV) – Ensures that consecutive strings are read and/or validated against a known region or database.
• Numeric-Verify – Verify the order of any sequence of numbers, detect duplicate digits and sequence errors, and match variable digits to external data files
• Date & Code Matching – Validates encoded data that represents human-readable information and ensures consistency across multiple areas within the label.
